You find yourself in a warm, dreamlike room across a small table from a man approaching his fourth decade. He is just shy of average height, with warm light brown skin and dark hair, and agate-brown eyes. He wears layered robes, richly embroidered but a bit worn at the edges.

‘I seem to have found myself in some amorphous corner of the Fade? Well, I’ve been in stranger. Come in, have a cup of - what would you like, tea, coffee, something stranger? Here, it’s all a wish away.

It’s possible that you’ve already heard of me - Tale of the Champion, and all. Well I can tell you that it’s more than half true and there’s a whole book and a half that didn’t make it in. If you haven’t - I’ve been in and out of honor, washing up as a nameless thief in - it’s a done thing to say beloathed these days, do they not? - Kirkwall, becoming its Champion in a spat with the Qunari, and then - well, there was a bit of political turmoil.

It’s not that I don’t mind the rest, but I’m getting the sense that the Fade currents here are strange. Maybe I’ll find myself somewhere else soon.’
